Anticipation
I met the wind
of a hundred days
walking with
you.
We found the
tree roots of wishing
written of in
lore.
You found the
rock pillars
where the heart
of the ocean waves begin.
We counted peaks
and
valleys as we
walked near the scented pine.
We walked the
streets of the city
until we were
lost and found.
We talked of
constellations
near the burning
fire.
You learned
piano and
we sang late into
the night.
We learned to
hope.
