LAS PERLAS o The Pearls
![]() |
| Artista Cyril Rolando |
LAS PERLAS
Te encontré en
las lágrimas
que cayeron desde
los ojos de los ángeles
y que brillan en
la luz de la luna,
te encontré en
las lágrimas
ese vertido desde
los ojos de Madona
y convertirse en
un río pacífico y rápida
que luego se une
el mar que lleva
perlas de su passion
sobre la tierra
y que ella lleva
alrededor de su cuello,
porque es todos los
amantes que trabajan
para traer los
cielos a la tierra.

The Pearls
I found you in
the tears
That fell from
the eyes of angels
And that glisten
in moonlight,
I found you in
the tears
That streamed
from the eyes of Madonna
And become a
swift, pacific river
That then joins
the sea that washed
Her passion’s
pearls upon the land
And that she
wears around her neck,
For it is all the
lovers who labor
To bring the
heavens to earth.

Las sirenas o The Sirens
![]() |
| Artista Cyril Rolando |
Las sirenas
Rocíe
espumejear
en rímica
ondulación,
elevará, caen
las olas en las tonalidades del atardecer.
Cerca
el
faro
donde las
sirenas pueden
aún cantar las
canciones antiguas que se hacen eco de baja,
o
por un
largo fiordo
hay es la voz
de Väinämöinen,
el hijo de la hija del mar.
Hay
existir
descendencia brillante
de los cielos
contemplando los
misterios del nacimiento.
Los
niños
del mar
de la tierra y
del cielo nadan
en el océano eso
es muchos y uno.

The Sirens
Spray
Frothing
In rhythmic
Undulation,
Rise, fall the
waves before the hues of dusk.
Near
The
Lighthouse
Where sirens may
Still sing the
ancient songs that echo low,
Or
By a
Long fjord
There is the
voice
Of Väinämöinen,
the sea daughter’s son.
There
Exist
Bright offspring
Of the heavens
Contemplating the
mysteries of birth.
The
Children
Of the sea,
Earth and sky
swim
In the ocean
that is many and one.

Un sueño corriente o A Dream Current
![]() |
| Artista Cyril Rolando |
Un sueño corriente
Ella escribió
las historias
que ella no le
dijo a nadie,
palabras que
existen en algún lugar
entre la luz y
la sombra
eso perfora su
corazón
con la hoja de
la expression de su alma.
Ella esribió con
tinta verde
que crece
y resplandece
a través de la página
que envuelve el
espacio entre
sus pensamientos
que persisten
cuando ella
busca dulce reposo,
las palabras que
escribió se transforman en barcos
que la vela con
la corriente de su pensamiento
y son sopladas
por los vientos de su voluntad
a través las
aguas de sus sueños.

A Dream Current
She wrote down
the stories
That she did not
tell a soul,
Words that exist
somewhere
Between the
light and the shadow
That pierce her
heart
With the blade
of her soul’s expression.
She wrote it
with green ink
That grows and
glows across the page
Engulfing the
space in between
Her thoughts
that linger
When she seeks
for sweet repose,
The words she
wrote are transformed into ships
That sail with
the current of her thought and
Are blown by the winds of her will
Across the
waters of her dreams.

LOS SECRETOS or The Secrets
LOS SECRETOS
Las palabras
descansan rítmicamente
en mi corazón
como la nieve,
mientras que mi
corazón es
fuego,
energía cuántica,
el océano
y sangre ...
Los planetas
vagando
en various tamaños,
composiciones y colores,
las estrellas en
secuencias,
las nebulosas,
los asteroides,
los cometas
y el cosmos
tienen indecibles
secretos …
El agua, Fuente de
vida,
enigma de la
sinfónica
elementos
en y por debajo
de
la superficie de
la tierra
y en el cielo …
secretos.
Escribir es una
herida secreta
luego un curación,
entonces una
herida
abrió fresco
cuando se leen.
Sueños
dentro de
los sueños de la
vida
en un espejo,
mis sueños …
incluso mis sueños
guardar secretos
en
recuerdo
fundente.

The Secrets
The words rest
rhythmically
on my heart like
snow,
while my heart
is
fire,
quantum energy,
the ocean and
blood…
The wandering
planets
in various sizes,
compositions and
colors,
the stars in
sequences,
the nebulae,
the asteroids,
the comets and
the cosmos all
have untold
secrets…
Water, fountain
of life,
enigma of
symphonic
elements
on and beneath
the surface of
the earth and
in the sky…
secrets.
To write is a
secret wound
then a healing,
then a wound
opened fresh
when read.
Dreams
within
dreams of life
in a mirror,
my dreams…
even my dreams
keep secrets in
flux
remembrance.

A Ticket to Anywhere o UN BOLETO A CUALQUIER PARTE
A Ticket to Anywhere
I want to go on,
to go beyond,
I want to carve
my heart
in a new configuration,
to develop as a
new muscle
to develop
elements rapidly,
to grow as a
tree of names
in the sun
leaves spreading.
Now I look at
the frozen lake,
serene,
and the seeds of
life to open,
seeds that are
nights and days in earth.
I hold a seed in
my hand.

UN BOLETO A CUALQUIER PARTE
Quiero seguir,
ir más allá,
quiero esculpir
mi corazón
en una nueva
configuración,
para desarrollar
como un músculo nuevo
para desarrollar
elementos rápidamente,
crecer como un árbol
de nombres
en el sol hojas
de propagación.
Ahora miro el lago congelado,
sereno,
y las semillas
de la vida para abrir,
semillas que son
las noches y los días en la tierra.
Tengo una
semilla en mi mano.

Our Quartzite o Nuestro Cuarcita
I
want to carve our poetry
onto
snow covered quartzite cliffs,
where
scattered pine act as
exclamation
points and
calligraphy
borders, where
honeysuckle
tendrils are scroll-work,
it
is the year of the sculptor.
This
is also the year of the blacksmith,
The
hammer is analysis
the
anvil is experience
the
fire is emotions,
the
water to shock
falls
from cloud scattered skies
where
there is still blue, shadows and
sunshine,
nature pulling a fast one,
pressing
liquid into an earthen seal
within
sight of institutions.

Nuestro Cuarcita
Quiero
tallar nuestra poesía
en
la nieve cubre los acantilados de cuarcita,
donde
dispersa acto de pino como
signos
de exclamción
y límites de caligrafía, donde
y límites de caligrafía, donde
zarcillos
de madreselva son volutas,
que
es el año del escultor.
Este
es también el año de la herrero,
el
martillo es el análisis
el
yunque es la experiencia
el
fuego es emociones,
el
agua a golpes
cae
de la nube dispersa cielos
donde
todavía hay azul, sombras
y sol, naturaleza tirando una mala pasada,
y sol, naturaleza tirando una mala pasada,
presionando
el líquido en un sello de tierra
a
la vista de las instituciones.

Causal Inference of Moving Forward
![]() |
| "Moving Forward", 2006, 36 in. x 54 in. Pastel with sumi ink |
The
stars
having
in their way
gone supernova
releasing all their elements
in stellar arrangements of surreal nebula.
The
quartz
beaches
transported,
bear the brunt of all
kinds of weathering without stain,
numbers of hard hexagons, they form soft, sinking sand.
The
words,
at first
perhaps only
spoken, then written
in ephemeral bravura
that reveals point and counterpoint into crescendo.
Then
the
water
so fresh that
slides down the throat while
standing beneath the desert clouds
forming, shifting, undulating, chasing across sky.
These
all became
crystalline and tangible.
Stars, quartz, words, water,
permutations when we shook hands
This is a "Fib-Ferm" form. I developed this based on the Fibonacci sequence and the golden spiral, as well as expressing the golden angle which is the constant multiplied by the index number of the floret in the Fermat spiral. The restrictions are syllabic, where the syllables of each line are summed to form the integer in the sequence of the line for the "Fib" sections, which was developed in Indian mathematics and Sanskrit prosody. For the "Ferm" section which follows any positive number of "Fibs", the syllables are summed to form the integers of each line corresponding to expressing the golden angle of 137.508; where the period holds the value of the decimal at the end of the third line. In the "Fib-Ferm" form commas hold no mathematical value but only serve grammatical purposes such as: dependent clauses, pauses or breathing, and replacement of the conjunction "and." The number of "Fibs" forms the value "n" or the integer value of the florets multiplied by the "Ferm" value which finds the "theta" or angle of the Fermat spiral being expressed in the poetry. There are no restrictions as to content.
