I desire to be the sun

behind your storm,

let me shine on you…

I desire to be the tree

you lay beneath,

permit my leaves to shade you…

I desire to be the river

you dangle your feet in,

allow my current to soothe you…

I desire to be the snow

that lands delicately on your warm lips

allow me to melt there…
